The Rebuilding of Camp Onanda
In the last years of the 1960s, it became apparent that Onanda needed some updating. The kitchen and dining hall simply needed repairs. Hill House was showing her age too.
A huge fundraising began and by 1970 rebuilding began. The dining hall was insulated and brought up to standards of the time. The kitchen was fully replaced.
Hill House was beyond sensible repair so.... sadly.... she was taken down and replaced with a new building.
